Prince of Persia: we gather and organize all the news from the prolific saga

Ubisoft has shared a multitude of news about the future of the franchise 'Prince of Persia'. Since the free updates of 'Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown' and 'The Rogue Prince of Persia' to the expectations surrounding the remake of 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time', those responsible for pointing out the fate of the saga warn that “things have only just begun.”

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The most immediate place to start with the news corresponds to the free update “divine judgments”, which is now available in 'The Lost Crown'. The patch applies a new version of the title that offers up to 22 new expert challenges in which you can push your skills to the limit. In addition, you can now access the “Pantheon of memories”, through a special door located in the “Shelter”, and there choose between four groups of challenges.

The challenges, governed by exotic conditions, will become increasingly demanding and the tests are gradually unlocked as new powers are acquired. Along these lines, once they have been completed you will be able to access all of them immediately in your saved games. Defeating the redesigned boss at the end of each set of challenges will also earn you four new charms and outfits.

The recently released fast-paced platformer “roguelite” has also debuted its first big free update, in early access. 'The temple of fire' shows a new biome in which you will have to sharpen your skills to overcome new enemies, traps and challenges. Also joining the general cast are two new enemy archetypes, the “Shield Warrior” and the “Duelist,” as well as a new weapon, the “Flaming Brazier.”

The update also introduces a general progression skill tree, allowing you to use spiritual flashes to unlock permanent upgrades. “It is the first major content update among the many that will occur before the launch of version 1.0 of the game, which will reflect all the opinions that the community shares during the early access phase,” they anticipate from Ubisoft.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Although a release date has not been finalized, the remake of 'Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time' has confirmed its launch window. The announcement was limited to confirming that, in 2026, players will be able to guide their beloved Prince again in a completely reconstructed adventure, which aims to capture the essence of the original product. Apparently, the title has already successfully passed its pre-production phase, and is now beginning production with the collaboration of Ubisoft Toronto, Ubisoft Bucharest and E-Studio, who join forces with Ubisoft Montreal.
